LGBTQ Inclusive Classrooms Training 2017

Sign-in and light breakfast from 8:30 - 9:00 am. Training will begin promptly at 9:00 am. Lunch will be provided.

Due to the cumulative nature of the content for this training, it is important that participants are able to attend for the entire day.

Presentation Description: This training will provide the opportunity for participants to increase their understanding and skills to create safer, more inclusive classroom environments for young people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ).

The training will cover three main areas:

• LGBTQ 101, providing important, foundational information,
• Health disparities, including increased alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, and
• Specific strategies and resources available.
